The METALMAN character was created back in 198X when dopepope was in the 5th grade. upon re-discovery of the work in the 22nd century, the decision was made to expand upon the original concept. the METALMAN logo and helmet were re-drawn and sent out to a long list of artists from a variety of mediums. each was asked to create something using the provided elements in any way they chose and send the results back for review.
