I don’t use the word “virtuoso” lightly but, after browsing the Flickr portfolios of N.C. Mallory, no other word seems adequate. Mr. Mallory is a painter, illustrator, writer, and teacher. His work spans the gamut from landscapes to portraiture, inks to oils, academic to experimental. All of it is executed with courageous excellence.
