How do you find inspiration for your subject matters?
Drugs, dreams, God, space, watching someone working hard. These are some inspiring things. I usually have more ideas than I have the time or persistence to throw down but I have gone through my share of “artist blocks”.
Have you always been a freelance artist?
I once dressed as a pirate for Halloween but other than that yes I have always been a freelance artist. I have actually never had a real job. Is freelance a real job?
Do you ever dabble in digital?
I’m terrified of the computer. Digital art scares me. When I see super amazing art I’m always hoping that it’s digital. This way it doesn’t hurt my ego so much. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that Ray Caesar’s art was digital.
Apart from illustration what other things are you into?
Anger, Envy, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Pride, Sloth and soup.
Who are your favourite artists/illustrators alive today?
James Jean, Mark Ryden, Michael Hussar, Jon Foster, Kris Kuski.
Which galleries have you shown at and which galleries would you like to show at?
La Luz de Jesus, Excellent Virtu, Shooting Gallery, Uberbot, DVA Gallery, M Modern, Strychnin, blah, blah, blah……I’d like to work with Copro Nason, Roq La Rue, Jonathan Levine.
Are you involved in any collaborative projects at the moment and is there anyone you would like to work with?
No. I would be interested in doing so though. Anyone who’s not a dick.
What’s next in the pipeline for Scott Scheidly?

Wow, that was the most ignorant and offensive thing I’ve read all week (so far).
Is he intentionally belittleing Ray Ceaser and Digital Artists in general, or is he really so lazy that he just assumes digital artists don’t put real work into their art?

I’m not defending anyone, but Scott answered the question and was honest in his opinion. I just think there are two end of a stick and each side sees the other as not the same and the grass is always greener.
There is still a gap between traditional and digital Arts and I don’t think that will go away for a long time.
Just before I put up Kristian Olson’s interview he sent me an email and asked me to include a drawing he had done because he had had people surprised to find out he could draw.
