I Want Your Skull - Open Call for Submissions

Hello everyone:
With just a handful of copies left in the first run of the I Want Your Skull zine, I think we can officially put the premier issue to rest. The response has been outstanding. We sold out the run in about 7 days, and we’ll be packing up and sending out the last of the mailings this week. So, that means it’s time to start on the next issue!

We’ve lined up interviews with designer heavyweight Clay Ferguson (aka FERG) of Jamungo Toys, toy customizer extraordinaire and bad ass illustrator, Brian Morris, and punk poster wunderkind, Stainboy Reinel. We’re very excited about the features for the next issue. All three of these guys kill it.
That leaves the artist pages! If you’re interested in contributing to the zine, please read and follow the submission guidelines carefully. We are going to have to discard any entry that doesn’t meet the following guidelines. With such a large number of entries, it’s enough of a task having to pick out the few we can include in the zine. So, please take the time to double check your submission before sending it in.
ISSUE TWO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
1- Entries should be 7″ x 7″ at 300dpi. Greyscale, with up to 180dpi halftones.
2- Acceptable formats include: .jpg, .tif, .psd or .pdf
3- Work can be previously published, as long as it has been reformatted to fit our specs. We will not accept advertisement artwork (ie gig posters, logos, etc) unless it is stripped to the bare artwork.
4- Please do not include your name, logo, or website on the artwork. Signatures are fine. We will credit you on the page, but would prefer this not be a part of the artwork.
5- Be sure to include your name (the one you want to receive credit as), email address, website and mailing address with your submission.
6- Each contributor featured in the book will receive (1) copy of the zine and will be able to buy additional copies at a wholesale rate.
7- Please email to - eyewantyourskull@gmail.com
8- Skulls and/or skeletal structure must be the dominate them in the piece.
9- DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 28, 2007
We’ve received quite a number of requests to be included in this upcoming issue. Put on your A game! We’d like to get the widest range of artwork in this next issue from paintings to custom toys to tattoo work.
