I wandered down to the newly opened Cartoon Museum on Russell Street, London. Apparently the first of it’s kind. There’s a store and museum exhibits with work ”from Gillray to Scarfe’s 3D sculpture-cum-leather-armchair of Chairman Mao” but also, the kids can sit in their very own lovely room upstairs and draw till their hearts content… all materials supplied. I had a good time!
I’d felt curiously drawn to/inspired by cartoon styles and just a few days after visiting the Museum, came up with this experimental abstract cartoony style. Anyone want to share their favourite cartoonist?
