In Ian’s work, themes of humor, melancholy and season can all be found to complement one another, whether it be in subject matter, handling of paint or simplicity of composition. He hopes a connection can be made intuitively between the viewer and his pieces. Ian graduated from Illinois State University in 2001 with a B.A. in Art. He lives and works in New York, dividing his studio time between painting and reading.
