Illustrator Ryan Pancoast has spent the last two years trying to make it in the freelance world since his graduation from Rochester Institute of Technology (Rochester, NY,US) in 2005. He is based in Connecticut, working out of a small studio and slowly learning how to work in oils.

Drawing influence from the old masters, he combines dramatic lighting with modern themes. His clients as of February 2007 include: Democrat and Chronicle Newspaper, Yankee Magazine and 5th Epoch Publishing.
