2 large illustrations (17″x24″) for Yahoo! Singapore, done through Kult Agency in Singapore. The only requirement was that I use the Yahoo! Pantone purple and include their big purple idea chair somehow, so I finally got to use a lot of imagery from my inspiration folders.

PatentDeerFINALforrestilloFINAL

Two illustrations for THE (Times Higher Education), UK.  The article was about why US patent lawyers are better than UK patent lawyers.  One of the reasons is because the American patent lawyers are proactive and seek out new patents while the UK ones sit back and relax.

Yahoo! PurpleScape tanukiprocession

Yaho

Yahoo! PurpleScape tanukiprocession detail 2

Yahoo! PurpleScape project. This will be on limited edition Playstation 3′s, Tees, stickers, postcards, and other promotional stuff. Inspired by the annual processions that Daimyo warlords had to make to the capital in Edo (aka Tokyo) to pay homage to the Shogun in Feudal Japan. I made this into a fun affair though. Instead of Ninjas blowing poison darts they blow bubbles. Instead of flying the clan flags they are flying goldfish windsocks, a symbol of Children’s day in Japan. Instead of a warlord there is a tanuki (mythical mischeivious racoon creature) on the throne. Tiger Translate - Losing Culture

This was for Tiger Beer’s Tiger Translate artist series. It is about losing culture. It is inspired by the time I have spent in Beijing, which has lost lots of the rich culture that is still prevailant in the southern China where the cultural revolutions effects had less time to strip away the traditions and culture. It is pretty big 80cm x 50cm, approx 3′x2′. You can see more of my work at www.jasonraish.com.
