A cover for strategic finance magazine about accounting in China and a spot for New Physician Magazine for about how hard it is to not empathize with your patients.

Yahoo! PurpleScape project. This will be on limited edition Playstation 3′s, Tees, stickers, postcards, and other promotional stuff. Inspired by the annual processions that Daimyo warlords had to make to the capital in Edo (aka Tokyo) to pay homage to the Shogun in Feudal Japan. I made this into a fun affair though. Instead of Ninjas blowing poison darts they blow bubbles. Instead of flying the clan flags they are flying goldfish windsocks, a symbol of Children’s day in Japan. Instead of a warlord there is a tanuki (mythical mischeivious racoon creature) on the throne. This was for Tiger Beer’s Tiger Translate artist series. It is about losing culture. It is inspired by the time I have spent in Beijing, which has lost lots of the rich culture that is still prevailant in the southern China where the cultural revolutions effects had less time to strip away the traditions and culture. It is pretty big 80cm x 50cm, approx 3′x2′. You can see more of my work at www.jasonraish.com.
