This Sep­tem­ber 2008 Invis­i­ble NYC Gallery Is Proud to Host “The World Has Turned And Left Me Here” A solo art exhibit fea­tur­ing new paintings,drawings and works by San Fran­cisco artist Ako Or Akayo.This exhi­bi­tion will fill the gallerys com­plex with a large number of paint­ings on wood panels rang­ing in size as well as mixed media works and Ink draw­ing on paper and also includ­ing a hand painted sign instal​la​tion.The exhi­bi­tion will be on view from Sep­tem­ber 11th through Octo­ber 11th 2008 with a open­ing recep­tion held on Thursday,September 11th 2008 from 7pm-9pm

About The Artist-
“AKO” Or “Akayo” Is A Born And Raised San Fran­cisco Bay Area artist who’s art can be found lurk­ing in the streets or in gal­leries and muse­ums across the US,Australia and Europe.He has been work­ing on the streets of Bay Area since the mid 1990’s where his images con­tinue to endure on walls, mail­boxes and other sur­faces around the city.He enjoys making books, stick­ers, taking photos,sign paint­ing and moving about in the city’s shadows.His work has seen many dif­fer­ent forms from the street to the gal­leries and most recently a pair of sig­na­ture Osiris Shoes that just came out this year,rare hand crafted books to sign paint­ing to skate­board films his cre­at­ing just doesn’t end with paint­ing. He has been apart of group shows world­wide and has done solo shows in San Francisco,Los Ange­les And New York And His Art Has Appeared in Numer­ous Pub­li­ca­tion Worldwide.
